Teaching Philosophy
I strive to make my teaching studio as welcoming and encouraging as possible. I believe that it is essential for singers to maintain a love for what they’re doing, and not lose sight of the purpose of their lessons; which is to spread joy. As a favourite choir director of mine once said, music is one of the few things we can do in life where we cause no harm, only good.
Singing is for Everyone!
Early Childhood Music
I am one of the few voice teachers that specializes in music lessons designed for the developmental years of 4 to 7.
I offer a fun-filled half hour session for students in this age group, where we explore the fundamentals of music and basic vocal technique.
We play games, move our bodies and sing songs that your child will love to perform for friends and family.
Adult Students
Whether you’re starting from scratch or you’re a more experienced musician looking to get back into your love of singing, I’m your gal.
We’ll work on the repertoire that you want to sing – classical, pop, jazz, or musical theatre – and together we’ll uncover your unique voice.
I also specialize in helping my students overcome pitch and intonation issues, improve vocal health and technique, and I provide regular opportunities for performance.
Exam & Audition Preparation
For singers aged 8 and above there are many opportunities for advancement through competitions, exams and auditions. My students have had success through all of these areas.
The Royal Conservatory of Music offers exams for all levels of performance. I am well-versed and experienced in guiding students through this curriculum.
Competitions
There are many competitive opportunities available for singers of all levels. As a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, I also provide my students with the exclusive access to NATS-specific competitions.
Auditions
Whether you’re auditioning for a community choir, a university-level voice program, or your school musical, I can help refine your audition package and create an engaging performance for the panel.
Lesson Fees
$42 for 30 minutes
$78 for an hour
Fees are due in advance at the first lesson of the month.

When my goofy, wiggly, fun-loving seven year old boy asked for singing lessons, we were incredibly lucky to find Anna. She has a natural gift with children that cannot be taught. She can make learning to sing into a world of fun, while also teaching theory and other musical education, and getting results. She is clearly a talented singer and musician herself, and her formal musical education shines through in her diverse and engaging teaching methods. We couldn’t hope for a better singing teacher than Anna!
